Services and Pricing
Virtual sessions are a minimum of 1 hour long. During peak application season, longer sessions may be arranged at the discretion of your counselor.
Purchased packages and hours are non-refundable, but they can be transferred to a different counselor and in whole or in part to a sibling. Contact us by email at team@avidmission.com with the relevant details (e.g., names of students and contact details) and a team member will follow up regarding your request. Hours expire after 12 months of inactivity unless otherwise specified in writing to your College Counselor and by emailing team@avidmission.com.

Scheduling
Any changes to contact information should be made immediately by contacting Avidmission by email at team@avidmission.com.
Counselors will coordinate all scheduling matters with the parent and/or student. Generally, scheduling is a first-come, first-served, and last-minute schedule requests are not guaranteed. Therefore, we strongly recommend to book sessions as far in advance as possible. Avidmission College Counseling cannot guarantee availability of counselors and is not responsible for any resulting damages.
Attendance and Punctuality
All parties agree to be fully prepared and begin each session on time. If either party will be more than 15 minutes late, they must inform the other via text or phone to avoid the assumption of a ‘no-show.’
In the event the counselor is late, they will do whichever is most convenient for the parent and students, which may include either staying late to complete the full length of the session or end at the agreed-upon time and only charge for the time worked, understanding that they would need to make up the lost time at another session.
In the event the student is late, the counselor is entitled to terminate the session at the previously agreed-upon time and bill for the full-length of the session.
Assignments and Progress
Counselors only assign homework that is deemed necessary for the student’s success. The counselor will record assignments along with the date and time they are due. The parent and student understand that homework is vital to improvement and is the student’s responsibility to complete. Avidmission College Counseling is not accountable for any lack of progress by the student if assignments are not completed on time.
Referrals and Family Pricing
Avidmission College Counseling offers a 10% credit on purchased packaged hours for any referrals provided by parents and/or students. The new family must mention the referring parent’s or student’s name when initially booking their package to activate the credit. Other discounts and credits may be offered on a limited time basis and at the discretion of the Dean of Counseling.
Additionally, Avidmission will provide a 15% credit on purchased packaged hours to a sibling(s) of a current or former Avidmission student.
Liability
Avidmission College Counseling holds the safety and health of its counselors and parents and families in the highest regard. As a result, Avidmission prioritizes virtual sessions with students and families over in-person sessions. In the event of an in-person session, Avidmission highly recommends that a parent be present during all sessions held in the home. Should the parent disregard this recommendation, they release Avidmission LLC doing business as Avidmission College Counseling and the counselor from any/all liability.
Whether a session is held inside a home or in a public location, such as library, coffee shop, etc., the family and student agree to hold harmless Avidmission LLC doing business as Avidmission College Counseling and the counselor from liability for personal injury or property damage which may arise by reason of, or as a result from, participation in or travel to/from said activities.
